CLASSES

I teach mat classes to all ages and abilities using different types of small equipment such as bands, weights, overballs, circles and stability rollers. I plan and prepare each session carefully noting clients' conditions and have their individual goals in mind. Exercises are broken down to make them accessible to different abilities whether a beginner or experienced and I ensure they are enjoyable, meaningful and relaxing. I work on a progressive approach building clients up week by week. All my classes are kept small in order for me to give each client individual attention using verbal and tactile cues to enable clients to practise Pilates safely and effectively. Clients will be asked to complete an enrolment form which will enable me to assess their individual needs.

"Before I attended Annette’s “Pilates for Golfers” class I was a skeptic and it was actual desperation with my troubling back that made me think “what have I got to lose”. I have been diagnosed with two prolapsed discs and as a lover of golf my inability to fully enjoy my hobby was a cause of much sadness. It is not too much of an exaggeration to state that Annette’s class revolutionized my predicament. Previously I had restricted mobility but after a few classes I (and my golfing partners) noticed a distinct improvement in my ability to swing the golf club and without pain. Annette is always mindful in her classes not to make you try any position that would cause you discomfort if you are a back sufferer and although the classes can be tough going they are so beneficial. As a result I now do a small amount of Pilates at home to keep the progress going and it is with sadness that Annette will soon be leaving Khartoum and the classes will cease. So my deepest thanks to Annette for the classes and for proving to me that Pilates is the way forward for to maintain my back troubles and again enjoy golfing – if only Annette could now do “Pilates for Putting” then I would be completely sorted."
